Even Canadians are jumping onto the ring against Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin. The latest is CBC columnist Heather Mallick who says Palin’s look is that of a "toned-down porn actress."
Heather Mallick has donned boxing gloves against the Republican ticket, taking stabs at John McCain in a column earlier this summer. But her September 5 CBC column has been the one turning heads both in Canada and the United States.
Mallick ridicules the entire Palin family calling husband Todd a "roughneck," son Track "terrified," and pregnant teenage daughter Bristol a "pramface," whatever that means.
If Heather Mallick provides any insight into actual politics, it is a feminist prospective on the fact that women will not vote for McCain/Palin simply because Sarah Palin is a woman. "[Republican men] are unfamiliar with our true natures. Do they think vaginas call out to each other in the jungle night?" she writes. "But do they not know that women have been trained to resent other women?"
Even though Heather Mallick won’t be able to cast a vote in November’s presidential election, her ferocious CBC column might affect some of her neighbors to the south.
