QuestioThe big news is the return of Hernán Crespo to the Albiceleste. He will be replacing Javier Saviola who has come back to earth after starting the season on fire for new club Real Madrid.
Why now? He owns Colombia. The big challenge for Argentina will no doubt be their mid-week to Bogota to face Colombia. Crespo has scored against the Cafeteros in the last four World Cup qualifiers- five if you include the last Copa América. There is talk in Argentina that he might star over Carlos Tévez, but there is the possibility of playing with three up from to take advantage of a Luis Amaranto Perea that makes his return to the national team.
Below are the players called up to play Bolivia at El Monumental and Colombia in Bogota.

A 3-4 loss at home to Sevilla did not help his cause out as it did rank among his all-time worst performances across the pond. The absence of Giovanny Hernández was confusing because he was starting to turn around his game after months of bad form wreaking in his game. Juan Pablo Ángel is still recovering from a concussion he suffered against the New England Revolution as his side fell in the MLS playoffs 1-0.
