The Political bosses of the Government of India has been procrastinating in the choice of the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
The present incumbent’s term is coming to an end on sept 5th, but , there is a still no consensus emerging between the outh and North Blocks.
With the exising incumben Mr.Reddy not inclined for an extension, the choice appears to have narrowed down between Mr.Rakesh Mohan, the present Deputy Governor of the Bank and Mr.D.Subba Rao, Finance Secretary to the Government of India.
Until the crucial choice is made, the Country has to live with the present inflation unattended for some more time.
