China Shuts Mosques in Xinjiang province

According to Chinese official, these mosques are training centre of “holy war” or “Jihad”. They have also replaced a top official and security officers in the Xinjiang province, as a safety measure. The Chinese government replaced three deputy core commanders, political commissars and the head of the Communist Party organisation department in the army.

They also detained 82 persons in suspect of terrorist out of fear that they might disrupt the Olympics. These people belong to separatist group, which allegedly plotted sabotage against Beijing Olympics, according to Xinhua news agency,a police official said
The Chinese government announces Liu Xiang Song as the new head of the organisation department.
