Indian Home Minister pays obeisance at Hazratbal

 

 Srinagar, October 13(Scoop News) -   Union Home Minister  Sushil Kumar Shinde who is on 3-day visit to the Jammu and Kashmir today visited Hazratbal and paid obeisance at the shrine. He prayed for the peace, progress and prosperity of the country.

The Minister of State for Home  Nasir Aslam Wani, Union Home Secretary  R. K. Singh, Chief Secretary  Madhav Lal, Director General of Police  Ashok Prasad, Vice Chairman Waqaf Board  M. Y. Qadri and other senior officers of the state administrations were also present.

Earlier, the Union Home Minister also went round the Dal Lake through Nehru Park basin, Kabutarkhana, Charchinari, Dal interiors and eventually he deboarded at Hazratbal.

He was briefed about the measures taken for conservation of this fabled water body.
