Speaking on the occasion, Jora thanked the Today’s Traveller Magazine for honouring the State with the award. “Over the last three years, J&K has made major strides in adventure tourism and created lot of infrastructure to attract tourists to the State,” he said, adding that several incentives have been provided in the new State Tourism Policy.
In his address, Nasir Aslam Wani said there is great potential in the State for river rafting, mountaineering, trekking, paragliding and heli skiing. “Over the next few years, our State will position itself as a global high-end adventure tourism destination, he added.
