KU organized a seminar on Civil Services Exams

Srinagar, August 07 (Scoop News) – Department of Career Planning and Counseling, University of Kashmir in collaboration with Ascent Group organized a seminar on “How to crack the Civil Service Examination (CSE), a practical Road Map” at Gandhi Bhawan today.
Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, Prof. Talat Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion while as chairman, Ascent Group, Mohammad Shafi Pandit was guest of honour.

Addressing the seminar, M. S. Pandit said that main components for cracking CSE are commitment, aptitude, right selection of subjects, self confidence, consistency and freedom of choice supported by guidance.
After having made the choice, one should work out a strategy for conquering the peak, he added.
He said that this seminar is follow up to the one held at SKICC on July 9, with focused attention on ‘How to crack the CSE’.
Impressing upon aspirants to read newspapers and magazines regularly, Pandit said that news bulletins broadcasted and telecasted on Radio and TV can make them aware about the latest round ups on global level.
He also urged for developing language and communication skills and also make a piece of at least one editorial every day.
Advising for developing habit of reading books for at least 8-10 hours a day, Pandit said that with gaps of relax by offering prayers five times a day refreshes a person for undergoing more studies.
He also appealed for developing patience and perseverance in every aspirant. “Don’t give up in one attempt, go on making more attempts till you achieve the goal”, he asserted.
