USA California 08 May 2012:A 19 year old resident of Augusta, Carmine A. Fazzi Jr was detained and made to appear in the courtroom on Monday, for being the active lead in drug robbery case. He was charged for robbing medications from the two leading city pharmacies, one on Feb. 13 and the other on Feb. 20 from Stone Street and North Belfast Avenue respectively.
Only of late was he handed over to Maine police force from the New York officials to facade the drug robbery accuses. Bail was set for him on Monday for a cash of about $50,000 or a property worth $100,000 by the Kennebec County Superior Court.
As per the Assistant District Attorney Steve Parker, Fazzi frightened the counter professionals of both the pharmacies by claiming that he had a handgun. Also, the affidavit that substantiating the arrest warrant of Fazzi remained under seal by the judge. And, as per the appeal of the Assistant District Attorney Brad Grant, Justice Michaela Murphy on Monday permitted the document for being under seal for at least one more day.
Also Grant said that a second accused called Daniel Rines (18) helped Fazzi in carrying out the whole drug robbery crime at one the above reported place. This teenager, who got bail is said to have an arrest warrant against him because of his involvement but is set free due to his cooperative nature with the officials. But, Rines denied his active involvement in the robbery and said that he was just acting as a driver and didn’t enter the drug store, according to his statement to the Augusta police.
While, the clerks present at that time in the pharmacy claimed that two individuals in their early 20s, demanded medications from the store. As said by Grant, a 415 oxycodone pills and unrevealed quantity of 5 mg oxycodone pills were looted from both pharmacies. Frazzi had a good criminal record and hence is being refrained from getting bail and a lot of conditions are being prescribed for his bail acceptance and his next court trial is being postponed to 10 th of July.
