Shoreline rocks…
worn thin by winds and waves
wildflowers cling in fissures
like small children in a raft at sea.
Miniature crabs surprise visitors’
tiny eyes and pinchers search
groans bellow, a mad ocean frightens.
Porpoises play tag…
whales cavort on occasion
sea gulls dips into the brine
the shoreline beckons…
come plunge into the unfathomable
explore the unknown for a surprise.
Surfs the whitecaps with skill …
like a kite soars amid the blue
feel the power of the rollers
sucking hard to flip the invader
trying to challenge its strength
uses the flair of an expert to win.
A figure fights for freedom…
to conquer failures to achieve excellence
healing anxieties mock the spirit
search for shrewd choices
aware battles…hard to defeat
prays for forte and willpower to compete.
