Bulluts sped past President Hamid Karzai and black smoke and the snell of gunpowder filled the air when Taliban militants struck Afghanistan’s most important military parade on sunday.
Karzai escaped unhurt from the venue near the presidential place, but three people people were killed. Karzai, government ministers, former warlords, diplomats and the military top drass ducked for cover after gun fire at the event to mark the 16th anniverssary of the fall of theAfghan communist government to the mujhideen.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack and said three of its fighters were killed.
