Australian Cricketer and Stand-in captain of Deccan Chargers Team, Adam Gilchrist was in town and visited the Emergency Management Research Institute (EMRI) more popularly called 108 in their premises at Devar Yamzal in Medchal today. Gilchrist made a tour of the place, interacted with the employees and saw how emergency calls are handled in the call centers of EMRI. He lauded the efforts of the institution and said it is a truly amazing and wonderful initiative and it is phenomenal to see how many people are affected by the service
