Axis Bank Continues to be the largest ATM network provider


Leh,(Ladakh),April 11 (Scoop News) – Axis Bank, India’s third largest private sector bank, today opened its 10,000th ATM at Pune, retaining its leadership position in ATM deployment among private sector banks in the country.

Axis Bank’s ATM footprint traverses across the country from Nathula Pass (LEH) in North to KanyaKumari in South and from Bhuj in West to Imphal in North-east. Axis Bank ATM network includes 677 ATM’s in rural centres, 2015 semi-urban centres with the balance 7308 being in urban & metro centres.

Speaking on this landmark achievement,. R. K. Bammi, Executive Director – Retail Banking, Axis Bank said, “Axis Bank understands customer’s need and is proud to be a front-runner in serving more than 10 million retail customers through our 10000 strong ATM network. In addition to its branch network, Axis Bank’s ATMs bring unabated customer convenience by offering several value added products to its customers. Services like real time 24×7 funds transfers through IMPS, purchase and redemption of mutual funds, payment of insurance premiums, tax payments, donations, bill payments, cheque book requests, instant PIN generation and mobile recharges, etc are some of the features available at Axis Bank ATMs, Bammi said.

While giving details he said that Axis Bank is the third largest private sector bank in India. Axis Bank offers the entire spectrum of services to customer segments covering Large and Mid-Corporates, SME, Agriculture and Retail Businesses.

With its 1622 branches (including extension counters) and 10,000 ATMs across the country, as on date, the network of Axis Bank spreads across 1050 cities and towns, enabling the Bank to reach out to a large cross-section of customers with an array of products and services.
