Dr Sameer to head PDP’s Steering Committee of KPs


Jammu, February 7 Scoop News) –To strengthen the party among  all sections of the society, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a high level Steering Committee of the Kashmiri Pandits to spread message of the party and educate the Kashmiri Pandits about revolutionary programmes and policies of PDP

National spokesman of the party Dr Sameer Koul has been appointed as chairman of the Steering Committee while as Ramesh Koul and Ashok Bhat have been appointed as coordinators of the Steering Committee.

Other members of the Committee included Ashok Siddha, Advocate Kaw, Sunil Bhat, Ramesh Koul, Jawahar Lal Raina, Chandji Khar, Pyari Lal Koul, Pintooji, Rakesh Pardeshi, Shadi Lal Tickoo, Bablu Singh, Sunil Bali, P K Sharma, Satish Thaploo, Vijay Koul, Anil Pandita, Anju Bhan and Rajinder Bhat.


Speaking after his appointment as Chairman, Dr Sameer Koul said that PDP was committed for the honourable return of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits to native places.

Reiterating stand of the Peoples Democratic Party to fulfill wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society, he said that PDP was committed to create conducive atmosphere for the return  of displaced Kashmiri Pandits to their native places.

He said that PDP is of the view without Kashmiri Pandits Kashmir is incomplete and their return is must to restore the aged old traditions and culture. Dr Koul said that it was need of the hour to strengthen PDP which is committed to restore peace in the State and agenda of party was formulated by incorporating wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society.

Exhorting the newly appointed members of the Steering Committee to spread message of party among the community, he reiterated demand of the party of spiritual, political and economic empowerment of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community.
