1.Tell us about the origin of ‘Kazari Apparels Pvt Ltd? How has been the journey so far?
The name KAZARI is a very old Japanese word meaning elegant style involving choice and placement of objects. KAZARI is an ephemeral sensation that through surprise and splendor can take you out of the everyday into the realm of the sacred. Also in Indian context ,KAZARI, the soulful sound of music, the beautiful words of a song, the melodious and mesmerizing voice of a loved one.KAZARI is a tribute to all the ladies, a one stop destination for all their fashion needs.
KAZARI like its name is a collection to enhance the beauty of all the ladies. It’s a place where you can loose yourself in kaleidoscope of colors that fascinate you and help bring out the beautiful you. There is something special available for everyone here and if not , we make sure to customize it for you.
“Kazari Apparels Pvt. Ltd.” has established itself in the year 2010 as a manufacturer and retailer of stylish and contemporary women’s wears. We have gained expertise over the year and employees are regularly been updated with latest trends and demands.
The brand “KAZARI” with its tag line "All About A Woman" has been Started with an aim to cater the latest fashion to the people of Tier 2 & 3. We are pursuing our target to reach the mass with the commitment of “Injecting Fashion In Real India”. The Brand has started its journey from Ujjain @ Treasure Bazaar Mall in Madhya Pradesh, India with its first store. Now Kazari has three company owned stores and two franchise stores. And we are getting a very good response from these store locations.
The key elements of the brand KAZARI are Young ,Stylized Fashionable, Contemporary, Bold and Confident, Highly comfortable, Excellent dyeing, Easily washable, Color lastness, Dependable, Skin-friendly, Yet Traditional appeal.
Brand USP is Bridging the major gap of fashion viability between tier 1/Metro cities & Tier 2/3/4 cities esp. in indo western women’s wear segment.
Right Now company is only working in one retail format that is through its own exclusive brand outlets .We are planning to launch of the brand in other retail formats till the year end. We started franchising in the end of the year 2011.
The Brand has started its journey from Ujjain @ Treasure Bazaar Mall in Madhya Pradesh, India with its first store. Now Kazari has three company owned stores and two franchise stores. Company has stores at Ujjain ,Varanasi, Patna, Dhanbad & Ranchi.
Till Now We are getting positive responses from our customers and we are working on opening of more stores all over India.
5. Kindly share the brand’s further expansion plans (both own and franchise) in India and overseas? What are the target locations for expansion?
For further expansions the we are concentrating on north Indian states initially in first phase of expansion. In second phase of expansion we will open our stores in south Indian cities. For overseas expansion we are simultaneously working .The countries which we are targeting are gulf countries esp Dubai, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and UK.
The specific target target cities are in first stage of expansion are the four biggest cities of each state e.g. in UP the cities which will be on priority for store location are Lucknow, Varanasi, Allahabad, Kanpur.
6. What is the area and capital needed to partner with the brand as a franchisee in the country?
The area required for a new franchise store is a minimum of 350 Sq..Ft. and a maximum of 600 Sq..Ft. And the investment required will be 12-30 Lakhs approx. This will vary depending upon the city and location at which the store is being opened.
7. Could you give us an insight into the current retail scenario in your business segment in the country? What are the challenges for the brand in India?
Right now the retail market in this segment is growing at a very faster rate than before and also in women’s wear segment big players are entering. Still the metro cities has many brands in this segment but in small cities there is not a single big competitor who can fill this gap. All the brands in this segment are planning to enter small cities as they are looking for better prospects in these cities. Our brand has started its journey from reverse first we will cater these smaller cities then we will enter metros in the last phase of expansion with our signature brand.
In India women’s are still very conservative in choosing 100% western wear esp. in small cities. That’s why we have chosen indo western or contemporary style for our brand. Once people start wearing it they will become more fashion conscious.
