German Ambassador calls on JK Governor

Jammu, January 03 (Scoop News) – Michael Steiner, German Ambassador to India, called on  N. N. Vohra, Governor Jammu and Kashmir, at Raj Bhavan, here this evening.

During their hour long meeting, the Governor and the Ambassador discussed various issues relating to the strong bi-lateral ties between the two countries. Also discussed were the various possibilities of investors from Germany assisting the establishment of business and commercial ventures for the rapid economic growth of J&K, particularly in the areas in which the State was keen to secure foreign collaboration.

Mrs. Usha Vohra, First Lady, and Mrs. Steiner were present on the occasion.

German Ambassador, Michael Steiner called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah here Thursday evening. Matters of mutual interests were discussed in an hour log meeting.

 Omar Abdullah apprised the Germnan Ambassador of the measures taken by the State and the Central Governments for peace and development in the state. He also apprised Germnan Ambassador of the steps taken by the state government regarding public empowerment, transparency in administrative affairs and making public service delivery legally time bound.
