Baramulla/Srinagar,November 15 (Scoop News)- Former Minister and Member AICC Abdul Gani Vakil today said that Congress party would neither be sub-servant and nor will prefer to work as a B-team in the coalition instead will work with honor and respect in administering the state.
“Congress will never compromise on issues like corruption and the question of accountability and will raise its voice besides will keep a strict vigil on every type of mismanagement, callousness and maladministration,” Mr. Vakil was addressing a Youth rally organized by Youth Congress at Baramulla.
He appreciated the historic liberal funding by the Central Government in the shape of special packages sanctioned for the welfare and development of Jammu and Kashmir. He maintained that there is a need of strict monitoring of all the centrally sponsored schemes and urged the State Government to forward Utilization Certificates to the concerned quarters well in time for uninterrupted release of funds by the Centre Government.
Describing political situation in general in the State as quiet fluid where good governance, transparency and accountability are missing from the scene and in particular the administration at the District level is behaving like a mute spectator rather than coming forward for addressing the grievances of the common masses”. He said that many far flung and remote areas of the state have been neglected completely.
