Ok, I am not in favour or against gays or lesibians. Its one’s choice and liberty. But why I was interested in this news was that there is a guy to represent India, the country where homosexuality is considered to be illegal.

Zoltan Parag, a 26 year old model from Mumbai has made it to the contest and is said to have high chances to grab the title. So Zoltan’s participation is commendable.

He is also the first Indian to participate in the contest. The other participants are from countries like Philippines, Canada, Australia and Netherlands. All of them comes to 22 in number. It is the third year that the contest is been conducted.

According to Don Spradlin, executive producer, International Mr Gay,Zoltan has major chances to win. Spradlin has opined that Zoltan is a very courageous boy.The winner of International Mr Gay will be awarded $10,000.

A six-member jury will select the winner to represent the homosexual community at worldwide gay events. Oratorial and debating skills are essential for the contestants. One of the objectives of this contest is to educate people about homosexuality.

For some categories the vote can be cast online at http://www.mrgaycompetition.com/ every 24 hours till January 20.
