JK CM reviews security situation, meets injured Panch

Srinagar, January 13 (Scoop News) – JK Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Sunday evening received brief on prevailing law and order and security situation at a high level meeting, he chaired here.
Various matters relating to the subject were discussed threadbare in the meeting.
Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani, Principal Secretary Home, Suresh Kumar, DGP, Ashok Prasad and top brass of army, security agencies, J&K police and civil administration participated in the meeting.
Meanwhile Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Sunday evening visited SKIMS here and met the injured Panchayat member Mrs. Zoona, who was shot at by unidentified gunman yesterday.
Chief Minister enquired of her health conditions and prayed for her early recovery. He also gave directions to the hospital administration for providing all possible medical treatment to the lady panchayat member. Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani was accompanying the Chief Minister.
It may be mentioned here that a Female Panchayat member who is serious in Srinagar Hospital was admitted in Hospital for treatment today morning after shot by unknown militants in Sopore area in North Kashmir. She was identified as Zoona, 45, wife of Mohammad Ramzan.
Doctors treating her said that she was critically injured. One bullet hit Zoona, on her eye and another went through her neck.
Sources said that last evening some masked men call her out of her house and shoot her.
This is the third such attack in two days, as suspected militants had earlier gunned down two other village council heads
Dr Shenaz Ganai M.L.C today also flew from Jammu to Srinagar to inquire about the health of the critically Injured female Panch, Zooni wife of Mohd Ramzan Dar, who was shot at from the point blank range yesterday evening in her neck, and who is undergoing specialized treatment at SKIMS Soura Srinagar.
While interacting with the family of the Lady Panch, she shared the pain being faced by them and consoled them and assured them that best Medicare facility will be provided to the injured. She assured them that in this hour of pain she is with them. Being herself a medico, M.L.C, had a detailed discussion with the concerned doctors about the health status of the patient, and the treatment being provided to her, and asked them to provide the best available treatment to her.
