Pradesh Youth Congress held a meeting in Jammu today at PYC headquarters, Shahidi Chowk, under the chairmanship of R. S. Pathania, senior Vice-President, P.Y.C. wherein the indecent, unfounded and uncalled for outburst of N.C.M.L.A.. Mustafa Kamaal against Maharaja Hari Singh was discussed threadbare, said in statement issued to press.
Addressing the party activists, Pathania said that there are no two opinions about the fact that Maharaja had been the harbinger and trend-setter of many innovations in the field of judicial reforms, diplomatic affairs, education, healthcare, agriculture, opening up of temples for ‘Harijans’ and maintaining exquisite balance between developmental needs and political aspirations of all the three regions. And on the governance and routine administration side, the unparalleled and unprecedented acumen of the Maharaja had been acknowledged across the world. Given the tall stature, intellectual depth, crave for equity and justice and care for his people, not only the people of J & K but those in POK (Maharaja’s erstwhile kingdom) also have due respect and reverence for him.
Statement said that spitting of unnecessary venom against the popular ruler speaks of the sick mentality and poor knowledge of J & K history and its political developments on part of. Kamaal. Since the formation of Congress-N.C. coalition government, Kamaal seems to be obsessed with a penchant for creating useless controversies by delivering‘mischievous ‘ statements. He attributed to it as a vested attempt to weaken the coalition and create misunderstandings in the coalition’s working. He said that NC-Congress coalition is the brainchild of the national youth icon, Rahul Gandhi and Omar Abdullah and it shall last for full six years.
Whereas the Youth Congress leaders further appealed the N. C. patron Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to rein in their recalcitrant M.L.A. and bar him from further creating tight corners by delivering useless statements and hurting the sentiments of the people of J & K.
Prominent among who remained present and addressed the meeting included Bharat Priye, Manu Jamwal, Shivang Satya Gupta, Amit Manhas, ZS Malik, Varun Dev Singh, Raman Magotra, Shafiq Rehman Bhat, Dr. Ajay Jamwal, Chander Sharma, Vikram Singh Bhandari, Shashi Bhushan, DS Manhas, Ajay Bakshi, Ajay Taloor, Yudhbir Singh and others.
