Journalists for united struggle on wage board issue on December 12th

 New Delhi,December 08 (Scoop News) –Management moves to delay the wage board continue. Taking strong note of this the Confederation of news papers and news agencies employees organizations, at an emergency meeting held Wedenesday evening in New Delhi, presided over by the Confederation secretary general M.S.Yadav has called for intensifying the struggle .


 In a statement SK.Pande,General Secretary,Delhi Union of Journalists (DUJ) said that a rally will be held outside PTI HQ at Parliament Street, on Monday 12th December from 11.30 to 1.00 pm followed on the same day by rallies outside the news papers offices in Bahadurshah Zafar Marg in particular outside Times of India, in the evening.


The DUJ was represented in the meeting along with the leaders of the IJU, AINEF, NUJ, DJA, Delhi Media Unity Centre and a variety of plant unions.


 Meanwhile DUJ office bearers   have resolved to support the phased action call of the Confederation and notices are being issued to various managements. Other states will also be holding rallies.       


The General Secretary of the All India Newspaper Employees Federation has informed us that “The wage board case will come up now on 31 January 2012 before a new bench. The case may also come for hearing along with the Rajasthan Patrika petition on December 12.”  


In keeping with our decision, there will be a special function organized at the DUJ Amphitheatre on the occasion of the fourth death anniversary of renowned Hindi poet Trilochan Shastri, on December, 9, 2011 from 4.30 to 7.30 p.m.


The function will be jointly organized by some friends of Trilochanji along with Delhi Media Centre for Research & Publications and DUJ.
