PESHAWAR Apr 14 :- The Apex Policy Committee which met here Tuesday reviewed the over all law and order situation in the province and Fata especially with regard to enactment of Nizam e Adl Regulation, 2009 in Malakand Division and Kohistan District of Hazara Divisions.
The meeting was attended by the Governor, Owais Ahmed Ghani, Chief Minister, Amir Haider Khan Hoti, Corps Commander,
PPP NWFP Chief Syed Zahir Ali Shah and Peace Envoy of the provincial government, Senator Afrasiyab Khattak also attended the meeting on a special invitation.
The meeting was briefed on the situation in the area and the measures underway to strengthen the administrative set up and provide logistic support for ensuring speedy and efficient implementation on the regulation.
It was determined that no effort will be spared to meet the demand of the people and resolve their grievances, as far as provision of speedy justice is concerned.
The meeting also reviewed the law and order situation in District Swat and Bajaur Agency and it was noted that the situation is gradually becoming normal. Measures to further boost the security arrangements to protect the life and property of peace loving people were also discussed and decisions taken in this respect as well.
Regarding Bajaur Agency, it was noted that the law and order situation has almost been become normal and as a result internally displaced persons have started returning to their homes.
However, it was further told that necessary measures are also underway to further ease their repatriation possible.
The meeting also appreciated the services being rendered by all concerned especially the donors in looking after the internally displaced persons in the temporary camps.
It was also hoped that the relief activities in the IDPs camps would be continued till completion of the entire process.
