Sri Lankan Cricketers who faced a Terrorist Attack in Pakistan few hours ago will be brought back to Sri Lanka soon as possible Chief Executive Officer of the Sri Lankan Cricket Duleep Mendis said.Addresing a Press Briefing at Cricket Headquarters in Colombo he said that Six Sri Lankan Players Tharanga Paranawithana,Ajantha Mendis,Thilan Samaraweera,Kumar Sangakkara,Mahela Jayawardena andChaminda Vaas has been reported sustaining Minor Injuries due to the Attack.
Out of these players Tharanga Paranawithana sustained with Shoulder Injurey after hit by Gun Shot and Hospitalized for Treatment along with Thilan Samaraweera He revealed."Other Players were injured when the Glass Particles of the WindScreens in their Vehicals strucked at them due to the Gun Shots .Duleep Mendis added.
Except this All Cricketers are Safe and doing well he stressed.
Meanwhile the Mother of Sri Lankan Cricket Captain Mahela Jayawardene Said to the local media that Mahela’s leg was injured due to the attack.Sri Lankan Vice Captain
This attack on Sri Lankan Cricketers was discussed at the Local Parlimentary Sesseions this Morning.
Sri Lankan Cricket already announced that the On going Test Match Series with Pakistan is Cancelled due to this Terrorist Attack.Pakistan Cricket Board also announced earlier soon after the attack occured that the Test Match Series is Called off.
