Steve Bucknor, 62, versatile West Indian Cricket umpire announced that he will retire from International cricket by March,2009. He has informed ICC that his last match will be the 3rd Test between South Africa and Australia in Cape Town. He said though he felt physically able to continue, he feels that it is the right time to step down.He is the first umpire to complete 100 matches .So far he had officiated 126 tests and 179 ODIs in his career as an Umpire.Though there may be some wrong umpiring decisions during his career, it is to be noted that " To Err is Human". Let us wish him a happy and pleasant retired life.
