Senior Iranian officials and state-run media have in interviews, remarks and hundreds of articles actually expressed their delight over the November 13th massacre in Paris. The ayatollahs and their mouthpieces have gone as far as depicting the governments of France, United States and … responsible for this crime against humanity.
These days senior Iranian officials are heard overtly threatening the West to further terror attacks, saying if they seek an end to these deadly assaults they have no choice but to ally with Iran and join its efforts of repressing the Syrian opposition. To this end the ayatollahs are seeking to maintain their puppet in Syria, Bashar Assad, in power. All this after he has massacred 350,000 of his own people and displaced half of the country’s population. After Iran’s notorious Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), Lebanese Hezbollah, Iraqi militias and Afghani mercenaries have failed to guarantee Assad’s control over all of Syria, the ayatollahs in Iran are seeking to compensate by taking advantage of the horrific bloodbath in Paris for their own interests. These efforts have proven how Iran’s ayatollahs are in a united front with Bashar Assad and ISIS, as they share common interests.
Sadegh Larijani, head of Iran’s so-called judiciary branch, referred to the Paris massacre in his remarks on November 16th and accused the West of supporting terrorists and actually being behind ISIS.“Those who facilitated and supported terrorists entering Iraq and Syria are now facing the consequences… supporting terrorism may play in their interests for some time. However, it will severely backfire on them eventually… the fundamental issue here is who is behind this group (ISIS). The Americans and Europeans are responsible for this,” he said.
“You must be prosecuted for this,” he said in blatant remarks aimed at U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. “You were involved in the creation of ISIS. This is a warning to the West. If you don’t want terrorism to be exported to Europe, you yourself [must not support it].”
Keyhan daily, the known mouthpiece reflecting the Iranian leader Ali Khamenei’s perspective, wrote an article only hours after the attack as if they were in some way prepared in advance for such a crime. The article, entitled “Vicious ISIS Dog Bites Owners”, reads in part: “Khamenei had forecasted on June 2nd, 2014 that in the not so distant future these groups will turn back on the very countries that support them.”
“France is a close ally of the U.S. in Syria… If the French people are seeking revenge they should first hold their own officials responsible,” the article adds.
Hardline figure Hossein Shariatmadari, Khamenei’s representative in Keyhan and effectively the newspaper’s editor-in-chief, wrote in the editorial on the very next day of the attack: The Paris massacre is “the beginning of the very era Khamenei had forecasted”, warning “Those states supporting takfiri terrorists (a reference to Sunnis) will see these groups turn back on them twofold.”
“Paris is the beginning and governments in the United States and Europe… Saudi Arabia, Qatar and … are correctly describing the current conditions as emergency statuses and even in imposing martial law… ISIS consists of a band of ignorant fools and the offspring of the Zionists and senior American, English and French officials, nurtured and raised by the Saudis to carry out crimes whenever such attacks are possible.” In this long article Shariatmadari only once referred to the Paris crimes as “shameful and disgraceful”, yet he immediately added: The French people are “paying the price of their terrorist-nurturing government officials.”
The state-run Fars news agency, affiliated to the IRGC, shed light on another aspect of this story from the ayatollahs’ perspective. Furious over the failure of the Tehran’s plots and conspiracies against the Iranian opposition and their headquarters in France, this news agency wrote: “On one Paris claims of fighting against terrorism, yet it hosts notorious terrorist group-lets such as the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran and other takfiri elements.” This IRGC mouthpiece went as far as ridiculously accusing Paris of supporting al-Qaeda’s Syrian affiliate Jibhat al-Nusra.
The state-run Vatan-e Emrooz daily resorted to an inhumane approach and despicable remarks targeting the French government, describing the Paris carnage as the result of their own measures! This newspaper went on to say the bloody scenes France caused in Iraq and Syria are now seen in Paris…
At a time when the entire world is expressing sympathy with Parisians and all of France, such atrocious remarks are expected of no one but the ayatollahs ruling Iran. Senior Iranian officials are responsible for the daily torture, killings and executions of innocent people, and only they can resort to such words. This regime cannot surpass one day without committing such crimes against the Iranian nation, or else it will bear witness the overthrow of its entire rule. Of course, the author of the Vatan-e Emrooz article introduces himself and the Iranian regime very well in saying, “We are the same people who stood alongside Assad from day one of the Syrian crisis. Only Hezbollah deserves the ‘Medal of Honor’ for the fight against ISIS terrorists! … The world is in debt to the Islamic Republic and its people who, all alone, have risen in the face of these Western dogs!”
“Javan” daily, also affiliated to IRGC, immediately revealed an interesting point and described the main dilemma as: “Paris continues to emphasize on the toppling of Bashar Assad, and it is not even willing to accept a role for him in the transition period.” In another article this daily actually dared to say that similar to 9/11, the U.S. was behind the plot of the Paris attacks because “the New York 9/11 opened the doors of the Middle East to America. However, now that the Americans are seeking to lessen their commitments in the Middle East and go after China, they needed a European 9/11 in order to direct Europe to the Middle East at a much faster pace.”
Some may argue that such atrocious remarks are so hideous they should be neglected and never responded to. However, true this may be, the Western world should in fact pay close attention to these atrocious comments as they provide a very clear understanding of the ideology of Iran’s ayatollahs and how they view the world. Through such a perspective the ayatollahs have during the past four decades carefully paved the path for the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, terrorism and extremism across the Middle East and beyond. And this is exactly why the Iranian people have dubbed this regime as the “Godfather of ISIS”.
