Jammu, January 10 (Scoop News) –Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr. Farooq Abdullah today said that our state is day by day moving ahead in the field of education. The establishment of two central universities in the state is a big compliment to the state and acknowledgement of the fact that central government is also serious in improving and boosting education scenario in the state.
Dr. Abdullah was speaking in a function of Adarsh College of Education,Jammu. He complimented Adarsh Group for playing substantial role in developing reliable infrastructure for imparting quality education in different academic streams.
The Minister for Higher Education Abdul Gani Malik and Minister of Industries S. S. Salathia were present on the occasion whileas Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda, Director Information Kh. Farooq Renzushah, Secretary Board Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, DDC Samba Mubarak Gul and SSP Samba Israr Khan were guests of honour.
Dr. Farooq has emphasized on quality education in the state so that “our boys and girls are able to shine in all fields at national and global levels”. He hoped that every government as well as private institution will work tirelessly in shaping future of our new generation by imparting quality education.
Earlier the annual magazine of Adarsh College ‘Herald’ was released on the occasion and the Chief Guest Dr. Farooq Abdullah distributed awards among meritorious students and staff of the college. The chairman of Adarsh Group & Mrs. A. K. Kapoor, Ritesh Kapoor and Rahul Kapoor welcomed the guests. The students presented colourful cultural programme.
Minister for Higher Education Abdul Gani Malik, while speaking on the occasion said that government will take all possible measures to encourage private educational institutions for expanding their orbit and play vital role in the field of education. He said that license system which was creating impediments in expansion of education system will be done away with soon. He said earlier students from outside state were coming in large numbers to study in these institutions and now maximum students of our own state are receiving good education both in government as well as private colleges. He said government will take all care to monitor availability of best infrastructure as well as qualified staff in such institutions. He said Dr. Abdullah has been always taking keen interest in strengthening education system in the state.
Minister for Industries S. S. Salathia in his speech said that J&K is fast marching ahead in all development sectors under present dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He expressed thanks to Farooq Abdullah for his full encouragement to the state in field of development. He said that his vision of education has yielded good results and literacy rate of our state has increased substantiality. He complimented Adarsh Group Mrs. & Kapoor, Ritesh Kapoor, Rahul Kapoor and staff of the college for presenting such a marvelous programme on the occasion of its annual prize distribution day and release function of its annual magazine ‘Herald’. He also complimented the institution for showing remarkable results in the examination.
On the occasion, awards of honour were presented to Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khoda, Director Information Farooq Renzu Shah, Secretary Board Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, DDC Samba Mubarak Gul and SSP Samba Israr Khan.
