1 Injured in Lawari Rail Tunnel

5^th Spring Season Festival Gul Rose Cricket Cup Tournament Launched.

CHITRAL:5^th Spring Festival (Jishni Baharaan) Gulrose Cricket Cup Tournament launched here at parade ground of Government Centennial Model High School Chitral. Some 80 Cricket teams participating in this tournament. The players are bound to play 4 matches daily consisting on 13 over. The highest score was achieved by Gul Rose Cricket Team securing 128 Runs on 13 over. Prominent Commentator Dawood Iqbal presenting live commentary on the ongoing matches. Talking to this scribe Gul Rose Chairman of the society disclosed that main objective of the tournament is to retrain the young generation from drug addicting and to save them from involving in any social evils. He said that we want to give a message to youth through this tournament to hate from narcotics and to engage themselves in social activities.

1 labor injured in Lawari Rail Tunnel.

As well as one labor was seriously injured during working inside of Lawari Rail tunnel. According to detail one Amir Zahid son of Amirzada age 25 years resident of Ashriat was on his duty inside of Lawari Rail tunnel while a heavy rolling stone fell upon him as a result Amir Zahid received head injury. He was immediately rushed to Chitral Scouts Hospital where he is under treatment. Israruddin Kisan councilor of Union Council Ashriat confirmed authenticity of the news who was eye witness. He said that SAMBO Company of Korea working day and night in excavation of Lawari tunnel and such incidence are expecting. Meanwhile National Highway Authority has starting work on opening of Lawari top by removing snow from road of the top of Lawari pass and it is expected that Lawari top will be opened for vehicle traffic in the end of March or at first week of April.

New Cabinet of Arandu Driver Union elected.

Abdul Majeed Driver Deputy General Secretary of JUI was elected as president of Tehsil Arandu Driver union. While Sher Afzafl, Muhammad Jan nick name Jajan, Gurfaraz Khan, Wahab, Salahuddin, Noor Faqir, Rahmat Taif, Ghulam, Muhammad Rahim, Muhammad Jan were selected members of election committee who will elect other cabinet later on.
