104 service soon in A.P

Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy who launched Rajiv Aarogyasri Community Bima Pathakam here on Saturday announced that a new 104 service would be provided to all those villages in the State which are not in the vicinity of a primary health centre .

He said that the mobile service would cater to the needs of pregnant women, patients of chronic illnesses like diabetes, renal dysfunction, HIV and would be provided medical advise on fixed days of the month through doctors on wheels like a mobile hospital said that the new service which is an extension of the successful 108 would help at least 8.25 crore rural population. He said that all the 2,000 persons who were short listed out of the 14,000 who registered at the mega health camp at the Boys hostel grounds here would be sent for treatment to corporate hospitals.

Minister for Health and Medical Education Galla Aruna Kumari said that the first of its kind Aarogyasri programme was designed after careful examination of all the 95,000 applications seeking CM’ relief fund. Later addressing a public meeting under the Prajapatham programme the Chief Minister assured the farmers that all those who were not covered by the loan waiver would be provided with farm loans of Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 15,000 for the immediate requirements.
