Kalaya capital of Orakzai Agency is at a few hours distance from Kohat, scenic valleys of Orakzai Agency were taken over by Taliban militants during last week of September 2008, orders were issued to residents of Orakzai Agency that they shall keep open doors of their residences for Taliban militants, Ali Khel tribe a largest tribe in the areas was defeated and around 17000 armed Taliban militants had taken over control of Orakzai Agency. On 6th of October Ali Khel tribesmen had retaliated back and had pushed back Taliban militants towards there headquarter in the area.
On Friday meeting of council of elders of Ali Khel tribe was convened in Adizai Area of Orakzai Agency to form a Lashkar of tribesmen to defeat Taliban militants and to take over their headquarter in Orakzai Agency around sixteen hundred tribesmen were present in the meeting when a young suicide bomber blew himself up along with a truck filled with explosives, according to a news report published in Urdu daily Mashriq 113 tribesmen were killed and three hundred among them were injured, injured tribesmen were brought to hospitals in Kohat and Peshawar.
According to newspaper reports militants beheaded four elders of Charmang tribe on Friday in Bajure, Charmang tribe had also formed a Lashkar to confront Taliban militants present in their area. Governor NWFP Mr. Awais Ghani had reportedly said that India is at the back of militants creating unrest in tribal areas of Pakistan.
