Jammu, April 12, (Scoop News)- As many as, 13 Special Polling Stations have been setup in various parts of Jammu district to enable the Kashmiri Migrants voters to exercise their franchise.
These Polling Stations have been established at Women’s College, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Government Engineering College Canal Road Jammu, Director School Education Office Muthi Jammu, Directorate of Economics and Statistics Department Janipur Jammu, Migrant School Purkhoo Jammu, Agriculture Complex Talab Tillo Jammu, Migrant School Roop Nagar Jammu, Migrant School Nagrota Jammu, Govt. HSS Migrant Jagti Jammu-A, Govt. HSS Migrant Jagti Jammu-B, Panchayat Ghar, Barnai Jammu, Agriculture University Complex, Udhaiyawala Jammu and J&K Board of School Education, Rehari Jammu.
This information was given at a press conference convened here today by the Assistant Commissioner Central with Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sachan Dev Singh who is also Assistant Returning Officer, (Migrant).
He further informed that the date of polling for 3-Anantnag, 2-Srinagar and 1- Baramulla Parliamentary Constituencies are April 24, April 30 and May 7, 2014 respectively. The last date of filling of Form-M/Form-12 C for 3-Anantnag, 2-Srinagar and 1- Baramulla Parliamentary Constituencies are April 14, April 19 and April 26. Time of Poll will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at designated Special Polling Stations, he further added.
It was apprised that detail of voters in the voter list of their native place in valley is available at Shanker Building, One Polling Station at Udhampur and four Polling Stations in Delhi have also been created to facilitate migrant electors.
He said that Ranjit Singh, Collector Northern Railways is Assistant Returning Officer (M) for Udhampur whose Cell No. is 9419151433 and S. K. Fotedar, Deputy Director Horticulture, Planning and Marketing, Delhi is Assistant Returning Officer (M) for Delhi whose Cell No. Is 09810105881).
