Eighteen people on Wednesday morning were killed in the crash of a Twin Otter plane affiliated to Yeti Airlines (Nepal).
Captain Suendra Kunwar is reported as the only survivor of the crash according to Tribhuvan International Airport sources. He has been brought to Kathmandu for treatment.
According to sources, 12 Germans, 2 Australians, 2 Nepali passengers and co-pilot and air hostess were killed in the air crash.
The plane had reportedly crashed at the Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla in Solukhumbu district. Although the exact cause of the crash is not yet known, bad weather has been guessed so far.
The plane had taken off from Kathmandu early in the morning.
