Latest information reveals that apart from Santhosh Madhavan, there are over 18 Malayalis in the red corner notice of the Interpol.
A preliminary search on the Interpol portals shows that among the 200 odd people wanted by Interpol from India for various offences, 18 people from the state have found a place in the interpol’s ‘wanted list’ for crimes committed in and outside the country. Most of them wanted for offences like fraud, forgery, illegal trafficking and counterfeiting currency.
Dr Omana Edadan, the lady doctor who killed her husband, dissected his body and kept the pieces in a suitcase in Ooty, figures prominently in the list. Sara Williams alias Saramma Thomas is another prominent figure. The warrant issued by the Kerala Police against her mentions offences, including counterfeiting/ forgery, fraud and fraud attempt.
Khalid Kuttoo Thaithodath and Koch Ahamede Abdul Jabbar wanted by the UAE police, Kochu Abdul Kareem Koormullam wanted by Muscat officials, Koyikkal Ramarao Sudarshan of Ernakulam who wanted by the local police, Abdulla Haji of Kasargod, wanted for counterfeiting and forgery by the Mangalore police, Jay Ram Krishnan Pillai of Vanchiyoor wanted for fraud and conspiracy by the Agra police, Kanangadavu Rafikh Muhamed Shaikh wanted for forgery and fruad by the West Bengal police are the others who are placed in the wanted list of Interpol.
