One of the best perks of being a human is being able to eat deliciously prepared food. Not enjoying food and eating it just to survive is a sin, according to Mikhail. Being a true hedonist, Mikhail has been studying food preparation for years and he learned that you need to have some sort of secret ingredient in order to create your own signature. He’s more than willing to share it with you. The secret is dedication, says Mikhail, because everything you do in life, in order for it to be of the best quality, must come from your heart.
The dessert is the crown jewel of every meal, so if you want your meal to be perfect, you better show everything you’ve got by preparing a dessert that’ll make everyone a bit dizzy for a while. These two simple recipes perfected by Mikhail may do the trick for you.

Chocolate death
No one can say no to chocolate cake, especially not to this particular one. The first thing you need to do is to preheat the oven to 160°C. Now, take 200g of delicious dark chocolate (of your choice) and break it into small pieces. You will also need 200g of butter which you should mix with your chocolate pieces right away, and heat them up together. Then mix 125ml of water with one teaspoon of instant coffee granules, and mix it in with the melting mixture. Try not to overheat it, because if you do, your cake won’t be as tasty as it is supposed to be.
While the mixture is melting slowly, take 85g of plain flour and 85g of self-raising flour, one-fourth bicarbonate of soda, 200g of powder sugar, and 25-50g of cocoa powder (depending on how strong flavoured you want your cake to be). Mix all that into a bowl, while adding three eggs and five teaspoons of buttermilk. Make sure that your bowl is big enough, because you will need to mix the chocolate and flour mixture together, and stir it until everything’s smooth and blended nicely. When that is done, you need to put everything into a medium-sized tin and bake it for thirty minutes.
While the cake is cooling, you should start preparing your dressing, so take 200g of dark chocolate and chop it into fine pieces. Pour 300ml of double cream into a pan, add the chocolate pieces and two teaspoons of powdered sugar. When everything melts into a homogenous mixture, pour it over the cake. You can add some raspberries, cherries or blackberries on top; or simply improvise and add your favorite dressing.

Sweet lemon cake
You’re going to love this one – it’s really simple to make, it won’t take too much of your time and it tastes like heaven itself. Besides, this cake is really practical for keeping; if you freeze it, it can last for a whole month. But, first things first. We begin making our mixture by taking 250g of unsalted butter and mixing it with 250g of powdered sugar. Now, we need to add four eggs, one at the time, so we can get a smooth mixture with no lumps. Than you need to add 250g of flour and a grated zest of one lemon. Mix everything until it becomes homogenous and get it ready for baking by putting it in a tin, over the baking paper.
The cake needs to be baked for about 50 minutes, so you have enough time to get your dressing ready. You’ll need juice, squeezed from 1-2 lemons, depending on how sour you want it to be. Now, mix the juice with about 80-100g of sugar. You should pour this mixture over the cake while it’s still hot, so it can cool down and make a thin crust. You can serve this light cake with some chocolate curls or whipped cream. Whatever you choose as your additional topping, it’ll still taste amazing.
The great thing about these two cakes is that anyone can make them, even the absolute beginners won’t have any troubles making them. Both recipes are simple and easy to adapt to the list of groceries you already have in your home. The point of food is to make people connect and bond – is there something more beautiful than sharing a delicious dessert with someone you love? Have no doubt that your loved ones will enjoy these deserts; who knows, maybe they even become part of your family tradition. At the end, if you don’t make it, you can always go to a restaurant and try some other time – practice makes it perfect.
