2 die, 7 injured in road mishap in Kashmir

 

Srinagar, September 19: Two person died including a mentally challenged person and seven others were injured in different road traffic accidents in Kashmir valley.

According to police a Scorpio bearing registration number JK07/1448 skidded off the road on Leh Srinagar National Highway near Spangla, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Drass, resulting on spot death of driver Abdul Rouf son of Abdul Rahim resident of Gas ground, Drass and injuries to three passengers. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.

        During the intervening night an unknown vehicle hit an unidentified mentally unstable person near Sather, Sangam NHW, in the jurisdiction of police post Sangam, resulting in his on spot death. The body of deceased was shifted to Sub District hospital, Bijbehara for legal formalities. Police has registered a case in this regard.

Meanwhile, a Piagio Auto bearing registration number JK013B/6949 driven by Fayaz Ahmed Rather son of Abdul Gani resident of Bunorie, Pulwama turned turtle near T-Chowk fruit Mandi, Parimpora resulting in injuries to the Driver and two other ladies Rubeena Wani daughter of Mohammad Shafi resident of Pulwama and Nisha Raina daughter of Charanjeet  Kumar resident of Roximoad Jammu boarded in the vehicle. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.

In another accident, a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK05B/2688 hit and injured a pedestrian Abdul Rashid Lone 50 year’s old son of Ali Mohammad resident of Rampora, Sopore near water Tank, Sopore, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Sopore. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
