2 dies, 27 injured in road mishap

 

 

Srinagar, September 07 (Scoop News) Two persons died and other twenty-seven were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley.

Police said that a TATA 407 passenger vehicle bearing registration number JK01F/4924 turned turtle near Hushroo, Budgam, in the jurisdiction of police station Chadoora, resulting in injuries to twenty-five passengers. All the injured persons have been shifted to different hospitals of Budgam and Srinagar for treatment. One of the injured succumbed to his injuries on way to SMHS, Srinagar. In a road accident at Galander, Awantipora on 14.08.2012 in which 60 years Ghulam Hyder Rather son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Yachgam, Budgam was injured and was being treated in SKIMS, Soura, succumbed to his injures.

In another accident, a LP 407 bearing registration number JK01H/4575 hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Abdul Hadis, age 35 years, son of Mohammad Abdul Husain resident of West Bengal at present Lasjan near Pandrathan, Srinagar, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Panthachowk. The injured was shifted to SMHS Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.

In another accident, an unidentified vehicle hit and seriously injured a pedestrian Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of New Colony at Ali Jan Road, Srinagar, in the jurisdiction of police station Safakadal. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.

Meanwhile ministers of JK State grieved over Hushroo traffic accident

Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs,  Abdul Rahim Rather has expressed his grief and sorrow over the tragic traffic accident which occurred today at Hushroo, Chadura in which two passengers were killed instantly and 25 injured. The condition of 12 passengers is stated to be critical.

 Rather, who is on two days official visit to Delhi, on hearing about the accident immediately contacted the hospital authorities and asked them to provide adequate medicare facilities to the injured passengers.

 Rather convened his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of those who were killed in the accident and prayed for eternal peace to their souls.

 

Minister for Transport  Qamar Ali Akhoon has expressed grief and shock over the tragic accident which occurred near Hushroo, Chadoora this morning in which one person was killed and four others injured seriously. The serious injured have been admitted in SKIMS, Srinagar. Those received minor injuries have been admitted in other city hospitals.

            The Minister expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and also prayed for early recovery of the injured persons.

            The Minister instructed the authorities of SKIMS and other hospitals to provide free medicare facilities to the injured including the life saving drugs.
