Srinagar, November 14, (Scoop News)- Two militants were killed in an encounter with police and security forces at Chenigam Kulgam in South Kashmir.
According to Police spokesman that on a specific information regarding the presence of armed militants in village Chenigam, Frisal, in the jurisdiction of police station Yaripora, Kulgam Police, 1 RR and 18 Bn CRPF launched a cordon and search operation, late last evening.
He said that the joint party was fired upon by militants triggering an encounter. Two militants have been killed in the encounter and arms and ammunition has been recovered from the encounter site.
After the recovery of two bodies from the encounter site firing again started in which two army men, one CRPF man and a civilian got injured. They have been rushed to the hospital,police said in a statement . More details to follow.
