Jammu, November 28 (Scoop News) – J&K Police achieved a major success when they eliminated two militants of Hizbul- Mujahideen (HM) outfit in a fierce gun battle in a remote area of Budhli at Gandoh in the mountainous district of Doda on Sunday afternoon.
Police sources said that after getting an information regarding the presence of some militants in Budhli in Gandoh , Police swung into action and launched a search operation in the area which was later on joined by the 26 RR also . The suspected area was cordoned off and the hiding militants was asked to surrender. On seeing the troop they fired indiscriminately followed by grenades which was retaliated by the troops resulting in to death of two HM terrorists.
The slain terrorists have been identified as Towseef son of Mohd Rafiq of Mukhtiyas Chilli and Imtiyaz son of Noor Mohd Wani of Tendla.
However, one LMG and Pistol has been recovered from the slain militants. The recovered LMG was looted by miltants in 2006 from Police Post Chimyas.
