2014 elections will determine nation’s fate: Hari Om

Jammu, April 9, (Scoop News)-The 2014 general elections will determine the fate of the Indian nation, said Prof Hari Om, Political Advisor to State BJP President Jugal Kishore Sharma, here today while addressing a press conference aimed at underlining the historical significance of the ongoing electoral exercise. It is the first and foremost duty of the Indian electorate, including the politically conscious voters of Jammu & Kashmir, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Buddhists included, to exercise their franchise very carefully taking into consideration their own social, economic and political interests, as also the larger national interest, he said.
“The elections this time are not an ordinary exercise. It is historic. The need of the nation and exigency of the hour is to install Narendra Modi as the PM so that the India becomes strong, prosperous and developed. The Congress-led UPA Government that has endangered the national security and burdened the people with price rise, corruption, scams, unemployment and politics of loot and plunder, has to be shown the door. People are looking for a credible alternative that could address their issues and provide political stability and a genuinely people-centric and democratic government. Narendra Modi is that credible alternative,” said Prof Hari Om, and added that each and every voter must cast his/her vote to contribute to the Congress-free India movement launched by Narendra Modi and the BJP across the country.
Prof Hari Om said that the parties like the Congress have no place in the nation’s scheme of things as they only focus on fake secularism and divide the society, instead of addressing the people-related and the state-centric burning issues of price rise, inflation, poverty, unemployment and corruption. “To hide their utter failures and acts of omission and commission, they have been hiding under the guise of fake secularism and hoodwinking and misleading the people,” he said, adding that their single point agenda is to grab political power by diverting the people’s attention away from the real issues facing them. The Congress has no report card to place before the voters and it will only be a pale shadow of what it was after May 16, he asserted. For the Congress and similar other outfits like the SP, the BSP, the RJD, the NC, the NCP, Indian Union Muslim League and RLD, secularism is a mere slogan but for the BJP it is an article of faith, said Prof Hari Om, adding secularism is about vote-bank politics for the Congress and other fake secular outfits. “India first is the core of the BJP’s ideology,” he said, and added that the people across the country have understood the fundamental cause of India’s all-round degeneration under the Congress-led UPA misrule.
Prof Hari Om urged the people of Jammu & Kashmir not to trust the Congress and its allies like the NC, saying both these parties and their alliance have stabbed people in the back and caused an immense damage to the country. He expressed the hope that people of the state will reject outright the coalition candidates and return to the Lok Sabha BJP candidates not only from Jammu and Ladakh but also from Kashmir. “They have to defeat the Congress and its allies to have a good government, ensure their all round development and protect and promote further the country’s paramount sovereign interests,” he said.
BJP State General Secretary Bali Bhagat and party leader Brig. (Retd.) Anil Gupta were also present in the press conference.
