2066 BS New Year Celebration in Nepal

The Nepali New year 2066 BS was celebrated with music , noise and scratching CDs here at Thamel with the blast welcoming the new year on Tuesday 14 April, 2009. A concert was organized by Thamel Tourism Board Council (TTDC) where different musical artist performed their music and talent showcasing the crowd to the beat of their hit numbers. Kathmanduties simply rocked with the artists in celebrating the first day of the New Year.
Prapti Shrestha, a student celebrating at the program said, “The program is simply awesome, its how the New Year should be celebrated with. I believe it is hard to let go the past year but the excitement of the coming New Years certainly pushes you to celebrate. It good that we have these kind of concerts which simply helps us teenagers to enjoy.”
