Yet another family of an immigrant Indian woman has been hit by the shattering news of the unnatural death of their daughter in the United States. A pall of gloom descended on the home of 25-year-old Golli Sushma on hearing about the news of her allegedsuicide.
Her parents, who reside in Himayatnagar area of Hyderabad received the news this evening that Golli Sushma hanged her self on Friday at her home in Los Angeles, California. Her family members here however rejected the theory of the suicide and alleged that her husband Golli Suresh Babu, a software engineer murdered her. They alleged that all was not well between the husband and wife and he was harassing Sushma. Sushma’s father V Kanaka Rao was too shocked to say any thing while her mother fainted on hearing about the tragic news. The families of both Sushma and Suresh hail from Karimnagar district. While Suresh hails from Sultanabad, Sushma’s family comes from Korutla in the same district.
The news of the death of a girl from Andhra Pradesh has come at a time when seven families have already been hit by the news of violence against their near and dear one. P Shashank, a MS student in Tennessee is undergoing treatment in the hospital after he was shot by unknown miscreants earlier this week in his university campus.
Before this six students from Andhra Pradesh were murdered in different incidents- five of them in USA and one in UK. Only one case of the double murder of two Ph.D students Kiran Kumar Allam and K Chandrasekhara Reddy was solved and other cases remain a mystery.
Apart from this three members of the family of a software engineer from Andhra Pradesh were also murdered in the US. The police is suspecting the involvement of the software engineer N Lakshminivasa Rao for murdering his wife and two children. The bodies were found at their home in Detroit suburb on October 27 two weeks after they were stabbed.
