Peshawar: 28 new polio cases have been confirmed so far in the province, an official from health department said.
Director general health Dr. Sajjid Shaheen directed all the executive district officers (EDO) to spare no effort in making the three day anti-polio vaccination drive a success, scheduled to commence tomorrow.
Discussing new polio cases in N.W.F.P, he said that total 28 new cases of polio had been registered positive in the N.W.F.P, amongst them three cases were reported from Swat, 10 from Peshawar, three from Bajaur, two from Nowshera, one eash from Kohat,Charssad,Battagram, Mohmand agency and Khyber agency while three cases from Dir upper.
Meanwhile, City District Nazim Haji Ghulam Ali has urged Ulema (clerics) and elders of the city to join hands for the eradication of the menace of polio from the city of Peshawar.
