3 children killed in Jughor flood. Water supply schemes washed away by flash flood.

CHITRAL: Tremendous flood damaged so many houses at Jughor while killing 3 children. Two daughters of Naziruddin killed while son of Zaman Habib also swift away in flood. Only bridge connecting Jughor to Chitral was also damaged by heavy flood and people of the area besieged inside the mountainous valley and people crossing the damaged bridge by feet but no vehicle can cross it. Water enters inside the houses situated on the bank of Joghor nullah/river. Surface of Jughor river has been raised by debris and heavy stone which has came on height from the populated area. It needs to be excavated by removing debris and stone from the nullah. In case of any flood the whole valley will be under the flood causing for heavy human and property loss. Flood water and debris also damaged so many houses partially and they are still in danger. Water supply schemes have been totally washed away by flood. Children and women folk are standing on main road holding water cooler and pots waiting water tanker on main road for long time. Drinking water is being supplying in water tanker by Chitral Scouts and district administration. Residents of Jughor demanding from the government for excavation and clearing heavy stones and debris from the Jughor nulla so as to save them from heavy loss in case of flood which can erect any time. Flood affected also complained of no compensation or no arrangement by the government to save them from flood because this is flood season and precasionary measurement must be arranged earlier.
