A Palestinian health official reported that 35 bodies were found in the rubbles after the three-hour lull in Gaza.
Yahoo reports: ‘Dr. Moaiya Hassanain of the Palestinian Health Ministry says the bodies were discovered Thursday during the three-hour pause in fighting’
‘Hassanain says some of the bodies were discovered in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City. The area has seen some of the heaviest fighting between Israel troops and Hamas militants in recent days’.
‘He says its not clear how many militants were killed because the remains were in poor condition. But he said, women and children were among the dead’.
As the fighting entered its 13th day, it was reported that close to 750 Palestinians have been killed.
In another development, the United nations have reported earlier that it is having some difficulties in bringing relief food, medicine and other forms of aid to the victims of the attacks despite making prior arrangement with Israel authorities on the transport mode and passage of vehicles towards Gaza.
UN reported that one of its personnel has been killed while transporting the relief goods to its destination in Gaza. UN vehicles are marked with UN insignia to indicate that it is not an enemy of either side. Israeli authorities said they are investigating.
Earlier, the UN has demanded an investigation into the attack made on the UN building in Gaza bey Israel forces.
“The UN is suspending its aid operations in Gaza until we get safety and security guarantees for our staff, spokesman Chris Guiness said. We’ve been coordinating with them and yet our staff continued to be hit and killed’
The International Red Cross likewise complained about the difficulty being encountered by their staff in rendering humanitarian support to the victims of the attacks.
In the meantime, fighting continues as soon as the three-hour daily ceasefire
