At least 38 people were killed and dozens injured after a bus packed with pilgrims fell into a gorge in western India, police said on Monday.
The accident occurred on Sunday night, when the driver lost control negotiating a bend along a hilly stretch about 200 km (125 miles) north of India’s financial capital Mumbai.
The victims, mostly from Mumbai, included five children and 14 women. Forty passengers were injured, police said.
