4 days Annual Qaqlasht festival concluded peacefully

4 Days Colorful festival of Qaqlasht concluded.

CHITRAL:  Annual four days Qaqlasht festival concluded at the most largest and vast green ground of Qaqlasht some 80 KM from here. The event is being celebrating since centuries at green ground consisting on thousands of Acres of land. During Qaqlasht festival 2012 some 18 teams of football participated. The final match was played between Booni football team  versus Reshun team in which Booni Team defeated his rival team. 26 Cricket teams participated final match was played between Mulko brothers cricket team VS Rehsun in which Mulko team defeated Reshun team. 8 Polo teams appear in the ground final match was played between Booni versus Border Police team.  The most interesting match who enthralled spectators was Sia Kaman a local traditional game in which old person wearing traditional dress participating in shooting competition with centuries old rifles (gun) which is called Sia Kaman using explosive.  some 8 persons participated in this interest and historical game in which Hussian Zarin was declared first position holder.  An other interesting event was Falconry in which 8 persons participated in hunting competition by Eagle, including  golden eagle and other hunting rare birds.  Master Muhammad Sharif of Kosht was stood first because his falcon catch first its prey ( bird).  2 Teams participated in Tug of war in which  Biar team defeated Mulko team.

There were two  teams in local hockey called Ghalsun Ghal in local language in which Booni team defeated Mulkoh team.  In volley ball there were 10 teams  out of them Koragh A appeared against Booni Goal team in final match in which Koragh A defeated its rival team and declared winner.  There were Quiz competition among the students of different classes as well as youth.  Unjumani Taraqi Khowar also arranged poetry program regarding awareness about conservation of forest and cleanliness among the masses. Culture show and musical concert was an important part of the festival in which artists demonstrated their skill with very sophisticated ways. Local paraglide also attract a large number of masses who hailed their skill warmly. There were race competition among the 50 participants.  Stall of different items also have installed on four sides of this vast green ground.  According to local elites Qaqlasht is a famous festival celebrating for the last 500 years in the area. Thousands of people from all over the country enjoyed these colorful events in a very peaceful environment.  Abdul Latif president of Pakistan Tahriki Insaf (PTI) was chief guest on the occasion of football final match who announced 50000 for organizing committee 5000 each for winner and runner up team. While District Coordination Officer Chitral Rahmatullah Wazir was chief guest in polo final match. Both the chief guests distributed Trophies, Awards and cups among the players.
