5 houses damaged 30 cattle died under heavy avalanche.
CHITRAL: as well as five house were damaged under heavy avalanche at Sheshi koh valley and 30 goats were killed. According to police station Drosh houses of Shereen son of Hakeem, Sher Azam son of Pam jan, Azam son of Dilbar and two houses of their neighbor were damaged under a heavy avalanche at Gawoch village of Sheshi Koh valley some 65 KM from here. While 30 goats (cattle) were killed in the house of Abbas Khan son of Juma Khan of Tangle village when a heavy avalanche and land sliding hit it. Hence there is no human loss until filling of this report. Meanwhile dead bodies of four persons could not recovered from the debris
Of avalanche at Yarkhun Lasht valley some 250 KM from here where 4 persons were died under avalanche on Saturday. Tehsil Nazim Chitral sartaj Ahmad Khan Tehsil Nazim Chitral have appeal to Provincial Government for arranging a helicopter on emergency basis to Chitral for recovering injured persons and dead bodies from debris of avalanche.
Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Drosh facing acute shortage of staff.
CHITRAL: Drosh some 45 KM from here is one of the oldest and historical city of Chitral. The first hospital was established here in 1929 but could not up-graded after passing of one century. This Tehsil Headquarters hospital (THQ) is serving for a huge population of 60000. One post of BPS 19 and one post of BPS 18 Senior Medical officer are lying vacant since long besides it 4 posts of Specialists (Surgical Specialist, Medical, Children specialist and Gynecologist) are also vacant. As well as posts of 6 Medical officers (Doctors) and 5 posts of Charge Nurse also lying vacant in the hospital. X-Ray machine is out of order and Dental unit also not running properly although there is a new brand X-Ray machine but due to low voltage and no regular electricity it is not working while the diesel generator of the hospital have some technical fault due to that reasons it could not supply electricity to the hospital even in emergency. Dr. Iftikhar Khilji Medical Officer In-charge said that we also manage minor operation in the hospital but we facing lack of basic facilities. Lady Dr. Saeeda Rabani said that there is no facility in labor room while only one female Nurse have been detailed from Chitral hospital. EPI unit also in a very dilapidated condition and its building is likely to be collapse. A female patients complained of no facility in the hospital and urged for posting of more doctors to the hospital. Social and political Circle of the area have appeal to high ups of health department for fulfilling of vacant posts immediately because this overburden hospital also to treat of patients coming from border area of Afghanistan.
