4000 Posts referred to JK SSRB for fast track recruitment

Srinagar, May 5 (Scoop News) –Deputy Chief,  Tara Chand today reiterated that for infusing momentum in education sector of the State, various steps have been initiated including compiling of new Education Policy for ensuring quality education.
            This was stated by the Deputy Chief Minister while convening a meeting of officers here today.
            Director, School Education,  Tariq Ali also participated in the meeting.
            Stressing for the conducive atmosphere in the educational institutions,  Tara Chand said that effective measures have been taken to fulfil the long pending demands of teachers including promotion of about 10,000 teachers, transfers of teachers who have served in the remote areas besides getting rid of attachment system in school education.
            He said that the teachers who have been promoted shall be transferred and adjusted in the Education Institutions within least possible time so that the students can avail the services of these teachers.
             Tara Chand impressed upon the officers to conduct teacher-parent meet once in a month in every Educational Institutions adding that members of village Education Committee and representatives of Panchayats shall also be taken on board for improving the education standards.
            Regarding the vacancies available in the School Education department, the Deputy Chief Minister apprised that about 4,000 vacant posts have been referred to concerned recruiting agency to ensure the recruitments on fast track basis.
             Tara Chand also enjoined for improving the infrastructure in Educational Institutions. He said that under flagship programmes with the liberal funding from the Centre, efforts are being made to make adequate infrastructure available in the schools and directed the concerned to ensure submission of utilization certificates and red accounts for the constructions being executed under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan well in time and also asked the concerned Deputy Commissioners to inform about the physical status of the construction of school buildings being executed in their respective districts.
            The Deputy Chief Minister enjoined upon the teachers to work with dedication and utilize their academic qualifications and experience in Education department for ensuring quality education and better results.
            Meanwhile, a number of deputations called on the Deputy Chief Minister to apprise him about their demands and grievances on the occasion.
             Tara Chand gave them a patient hearing and assured that their genuine demands shall be looked into on priority.
