42-kg tumour removed

The doctors here removed a 42-kg tumour at Dhaka Medical College Hospital , surgeon Omar Ali said. Dr Ali said he understood the tumour, which was bigger than a football, to be the largest removed by any medical staff in the country. He said the man,  noticed his stomach growing larger over the past two years. However, he believed the increase in size was caused due to water retention. Eventually, he admitted himself to the  hospital and a surgery was performed on him. “The tumour is the biggest we have ever seen and been able to remove. We believe it’s the biggest in the country,”said Mr Ali
