The top car manufacturers in the world have a long list of cars that are due to be released, but with so many on the horizon, it is difficult to decide the truly best upcoming cars in the next few years. What do manufacturers have in store for the automotive industry in the upcoming years?
Listed below are some of the best new 2017 cars and even some 2018 cars that will have a strong impact on the market:
1. Abarth 500X
It seems that 2017 cars will include the hot crossover as Fiat will probably become one of the first manufacturers to join the party by introducing an Abarth version of its popular 500X. This is undoubtedly a great deal better than the Fiat 500X and the new flagship model is expected to have the same amazing looks as the hot hatch that was Abarth 500. This means that it will have deep spoilers, will be fitted with a lowered suspension and really big wheels. You will also see a sports exhaust and plenty of graphics and scorpion badges are expected.
2. Alfa Romeo Stelvio
Alfa Romeo is planning to introduce the Stelvio for plugging in an SUV-shaped hole in its range. The car is set to be unveiled at the LA Motor show in November and the brand has a lot riding on this particular model as it plans to sell 400,000 cars a year by 2018. The Stelvio is expected to lead the company’s charge in the US just like the Giulia saloon due to which it is expected to share the car’s 2.2-liter diesel and eight-speed auto box.
3. Aston Martin V8 Vantage
It seems that Aston Martin is set on continuing the revamp of its entire range. The British firm is expected to follow up the new DB11 by an all-new V8 Vantage. The underpinnings of the new small model will be similar to that of the V-12 engined DB11. However, the real power will come from Mercedes as the newcomer also boasts the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 as seen in the AMG GT. A manual gearbox will also be featured in the V8 Vantage.
4. Audi A6
Earlier this year, Mercedes launched its new and high-tech E-class executive saloon and the prototype of has already been seen. Obviously, Audi is not about to be outdone and is preparing to launch the all-new A6 in the upcoming year. While the looks are probably going to be consistent with Audi, the company is becoming more focused on producing models that have their own distinct identity. The powertrains of the car are brand new and electro turbo tech is going to be included for improved efficiency and performance. Moreover, the A6 is going to weigh less than its predecessor by 100kg because the chassis is new. The autonomous driving technology is also included and the car is going to provide you a sharp drive.
5. BMW 3 Series
It is always big news when a new BMW 3 series is on the way, but when the seventh-model generation does arrive, it will also include an all-electric version to give Tesla a run for its money. The new 3 series is expected to tap into BMW’s expertise in carbon fibre construction, which is currently seen in the larger 7 series. The model will boast a new light chassis and a range of three, four and six cylinder engines. A range of about 300 miles is expected to be achieved by the electric version. It is expected to kick off with the new 1.5litre three-cylinder diesel, but the more popular option is going to be the powerful 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesels. Those who don’t want to go down the route of an all-electric car, they will also have the option of a more efficient and new plug-in hybrid 3 series that offers greater fuel economy.
