5 days ‘Winter Workshop’ by Tiny Teddies for children
~ 100 Children participated in the Winter Workshop
~ Story teller Jeeva Raghunath conducted story telling session
~ Professor of Visual Arts by P Rajasekar conducted the Coil Pot making session
Chennai, 26 December 2012: Tiny Teddies, a known Play Group school from Chennai has kicked off its five day Winter Workshop for the kids of age group 2.5 to 14 years today. The Winter Workshop comprises two sessions – 1. Story Telling & 2. Coil Pot Making. Around 100 children in this 5 days winter workshop are going to be introduced with different characters and trained on Coil Pot making.
In the first day session, the liveliest story teller Jeeva Raghunath, with her energetic story telling technique, made the children to make many friends in their new dream world. Coil Pot making expert and professor of visual art P. Rajashekar taught children about how to make coil pot creatively.
Vidhya Shivakumar, Partner Faculty, Tiny Teddies said that “Children love stories. Storytelling has major benefits for children, beyond just the fact that children love to hear stories. And storytelling helps to remove the negative characteristics of a child and has huge benefits on a child. Both this sessions will make the children to learn new creative skills”
Sandhana Kumari, Head of Faculty & Partner said that “the session is organised as a part of our ongoing activities through ‘Kids Club’. The workshop aims at engaging the children in a creative pursuit. We believe these sessions will help a child to develop the skills like oral language, listening, social skills and creative thinking.”
