Jammu,India, April 27 (Scoop News) Five passengers were killed while thirty five others suffered injuries when a bus in which they were travelling skidded off the road and rolled down near Patyari Bridge at Kaghot in Udhampur in late evening.
The ill fated vehicle bearing registration No. JK02K-3255 was on way from Udhampur to Patyari when the mishap occurred . On receipt of the information police rushed to the spot evacuated the occupants of the vehicle and shifted them to Ramnagar hospital where four persons were declared as brought dead . Out of the injured seven critically wounded persons were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur after giving medical; treatment.
Police said that on hearing the news of accident, District Development Commissioner Udhampur Baseer Ahmed Khan and SSP Udhampur Surinder Gupta rushed to the spot and are supervising the rescue operation when the reports last came in.
